So, you've probably heard us talking about our new house we just moved into--you might even be sick of hearing about it--but because of this new house we get to have gardens. And if you follow us at all, you are probably aware of the fact that we are super excited about our gardens this year, too. Today, we're sharing the very beginnings of our new veggie gardens, oh yeah!
Today we want to share our pattern for one of our garden decorations—Douglas the Dragon Fly! Douglas is actually one of our kits that you can get at our Two Kids Cooking & More Shop, BUT, today we’re gonna share our pattern so our more industrious, saw-using crafter fans can make their own.
Yeah it's another fairy recipe...it's been fairy week if you've noticed :D This time it's FIZZ made with fairy dust. It's actually kind of 'Mad Kitchen Science-y' but we're pretending it's magic!
Sophia's branch collection inspired us into these fairy wand creations. Here's how we made ours....
When I was browsing on Facebook, one of the awesome crafters I follow had posted a fairy craft. It was Tinkerbell made from a clothes pin from one of our favorite crafters RedTedArt. I was super cute and got me wanting to imagine some Fairy recipes…what do fairies like to eat? Well, I did some research...

You just measure and pour the ingredients into a large plastic bag, add your fish, shake, remove, and fry! Even toddlers can help shake the fish around in the bag. The dill sauce is a perfect match for the fish and again, perfect for the kids to help whip up. We hope you enjoy the recipes. Continue Reading

Lately, I've been on a salad kick. Mostly because I'm trying to eat low-carb thing and leafy greens are a great carb for that sort of diet. Plus, I love salads :D With Mother's Day just around the corner, one thing Alex, Soph and I like to do for Mother's Day is whip up something tasty in the kitchen that I, the Mom, like. I know...it's spring, things are finally getting green and everything is getting beautiful. BUT, all that melting, dirt covered snow isn't so pretty (at least in MN where Kelly, Alex, Soph and Grandma live). The dirty melting snow kinda reminds me of monsters....and I love monsters, ghosts and all things silly. So I say, why not have a party--I think it is okay to have a monster party anytime! Many of us like to create our own versions of health and beauty products. We all have our own reasons; some of us want a healthier alternative or we want to save money. I like the challenge of “DIY” products and I like to customize scents and ingredients. With Mother's Day just around the corner, I though making a beauty product for (or with) Mom would be a great idea. Continue Reading
